Pig Face Day:
14th September 2008

On the feast of the Holy Cross, we celebrate Pig Face Day. This tradition goes back to the time of Queen Matilda, who in 1080 presented the villagers with a Boar’s Head. Everyone dresses in Medieval costume, and feasting and fun is had by all!
