The present team was formed soon after the bells were restored at the Millennium; only one member had rung before. Our aim is to ensure that the Avening bells are rung for church services and weddings, and to ring in the New Year at midnight.
We are always willing to train people who are interested to learn. At present we are training a new team for Cherington Church, with the assistance of Stroud Branch Church Bell Ringers.
Our normal practice nights are the first and third Wednesday of each month, any one interested should contact Andrew Lelliott on 01453 835783 to check in advance that we are practicing.
